The event featured interventions aimed at racing public awareness on the theme of decolonization, with a focus on the situation in Gaza.
During the meeting, the role of artistic institutions – such as the Venice Biennale – within this context was discussed. I participated in a talk analyzing Adriano Pedrosa’s approach to the 60th International Art Exhibition: initially conceived as radical disorder, but later transformed into a domesticated and Eurocentric version.
Using a glossary inspired by Fanon, Vergès, Quijano, and others, we addressed critical issues and proposed a rereading of the 2024 Biennale.
