MY RESEARCH 2024 – 2026
Currently, my research focuses on analyzing and reflecting on the contradictions inherent in art institutions, exploring possible reinterpretations of the contemporary cultural system. I have a strong interest in design, magazines, editing, publishing, and curatorial practice; for this reason, I actively participated in several projects throughout my academic career.
I question fundamental issues: who is the art system addressing, and what impact does it have on its audience? And, above all, what roles do artists and curators assume in this context? Analyzing decolonization as a radical and transformative process – and keeping in mind that it involves breaking with the colonial system and restoring the dignity and sovereignty of oppressed peoples – his work addresses a crucial question: each individual must make a choice about what to do to avoid a catastrophic present and future. People’s reactions will be decisive: will they act, or remain indifferent? I’m sure that working hard is the right way to improve our future.
This phenomenon, understood also as a cultural, intellectual, and technological process, concerns not only “classic” migrants but any individual or group that challenges their own belonging in order to grow and evolve. Migration is an existential condition that traverses and shapes human dynamics, representing a symbol of transformation.
In this sense, migration is far more than a human experience: it is a principle that drives change and can teach us to coexist with complexity and diversity, overcoming legacies imposed by colonial thought.
